EBIOS read error

EBIOS read error

My Macbookpro will not start coming up with EBIOS read error: Error 0xbb block 0x142bc sector 0. The same happens while trying to start with CD. After 4 time nothing happens at all. Internet recovery produces an error (non of the options worked even I have backups) and suggests to start the application again. Can somebody tell me what is going on. By the way an update of the firmware 1.7 was waiting - but I did not say update. Did it happen anyway and is causing problems. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

There is no BIOS, so whatever is on the CD that's trying to read it is not likely to have much success.

You missunderstood me, this messege is produced during the Lion start-up or re-installation (CD) attempt. So it is not me claiming the is EBIOS! If there is no EBIOS then the messege is wrong.

I can not re-install using internet - the message is: an error ocurred, try to run the application again. I can not use my back-up too, my MacBool Pro runs for hours without any result. Disk repair, shows no errors, HDD seems to be ok. I do not understand what is going on.

I suggest you throw the disc away. Reset your computer’s PRAM and then try Internet Recovery again.

I am really sorry, but your answer is quite arrogant!!! I did buy it from Applestore - and if it is necessary I am able to proof it with the bank transaction!!!

With what you have sais so for there is no way we can help

As to my answer being arragant, I only say what I know to be true from my dealiings with the Apple Stores. If that is aragance then so be it.

Thank you, but I see no reason to carry on this discussion. It is far from being constructie. By the way, I bought Mountain Lion (not a CD, the one I am trying to use is an older 10.7 which I had) on 8.09.2012 directly from Applestore paying 20 CHF with my credit card (the proof is in my hands).
