I am trying to install the OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.4 Update. The instructions say a restart is required. After the restart the notice of update available remains. What should I do?

Use the Combo updater instead of the App Store update -> http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659.

Sometimes the App Store version doesn't work correctly. In this case, install 10.8.4 with the Combo version > http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1659

The Combo version is recommended as it causes less issues and it allows you to update more than one Mac with a single download
