Syncing iPod Touch to a new library on a different computer?

I have recently moved my iTunes library from my home computer to my laptop. After I got everything sqared away with my apps and songs I plugged in my iPod Touch to sync. It never happened? I have looked at other forums and I can't quite seem to get it to work for me. What can I do. Also I do have pictures on my iPod that I do NOT want to lose (AGAIN!). So if anybody can help me that would be super fantastic!
