Running 10.7.5 on a MacBook Air and want to access data on a bunch of Zip Disks. Plugging my Iomega Zip250 into a USB port, the Mac doesn'y even recognize it. Is there any hope?

The information at the linked Iomega page only goes up to OSX 10.4 and states that no software/drivers need to be added for operation. Does not address newer operating systems.
Unfortunately this did not help.
From study of same just now, others have tried to mount Iomega Zip on LION without any luck.
If Lion wont mount Iomega, conclusion follows for Mountain Lion
Youll need to find some older mac or PC to run the old-tech Iomega disks. 😊

borrow someone else's PC or MAC to transfer all files to a DVD blank or HD thru USB.
*many computer places charge as little as $3 per disk to transfer data from as they call it "dinosaur tech" 😊
