What is a "Pin Tab"

Is it something new? I've never noticed it before but now when I want to open a tab in a new window, the drop down menu offers me a "Pin Tab", when I click on it my tab dissappears and I don't know where it goes. I can't find any help on it in any of the usual places, help, Communities Search, Snow Leopard Group, Mozilla, etc.

Tabs are great, the new (to me at least) grouping options are especially nice when you want to work on one thing but keep another near.

Hi CMCSK! Thanks for your interest. I have my specs in my sig and assumed that would be enouugh but this is the Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Group and that's the computer I was using when this "new" option was offered me in the mouse right click drop down menu.

I clicked on "Pin Tab" and the tab I was in dissappeared, never to be seen again. (Till I went and got itoff the web again 🙂 ) That's not how I'd prefer to use tabs, however.

Love your sig gif. ....goldie
