When I open Xtorrent, after about 30 seconds a box comes up saying "Unauthorised application detected! The app has been quit and your administrator has been notified. Please do not use applications that contravene the acceptable use policy."

When I open Xtorrent on my macbook, after about 30 seconds a box comes up saying"Unauthorised application detected. The app has been quit and your administrator has been notified. Please do not use applications that contravene the acceptable use policy." Then there's an "I'm sorry" button.

Does anyone know how to stop this happening?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

You'll need to remove whatever management software is on the machine. I don't know what software that might be, but you'll need to uninstall it.

Probably the easiest/cleanest approach would be to boot to the recovery partition and completely clean off the machine with a fresh install. Otherwise, assuming you have an admin account, you may be able to figure out how to remove the management software but having instructions from your former employer's IT department would make it a lot easier.
