Disk Drive Rejects all Disks

I started to make a DVD from a short video I've made but my drive just, immediately, rejected it. I tried another one and the same thing. I then tried a blank CD, rejected, a music CD and then a fulm DVD. All where rejected. I've closed everything down, switched off over neght and the same thing the next day.

Has anyone any ideas please.

The only thing I can think of to try is to zap the p-ram. restart holding down option-command-p-r thru at least a couple of restarts. If that doesn't help, I suspect you'll have to take it in for servicing. If it's out of warranty, you might just get an external drive. There not a lot of money nowadays.
