Have got a mac mini server and want to upgrade it to mountain lion client. How do I do?

Hi,

I have got a Mac mini server with OS X ver 10.6 and I wonder how to upgrade this mac to ver 10.8 client as I do not need the server apps for now.

Is it possible? How do I do to fix this?

The Mac is from late 2011.

Kind Regards,

Of course. Open the Mac App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. While it's being downloaded, make a backup of your files and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com

When the download finishes, the OS X Mountain Lion installer will show up, so follow the steps. After upgrading, you will be using the client OS X Mountain Lion version. You can buy OS X Server after upgrading to OS X Mountain Lion
