I've been trying to use xto7 for Final Cut Pro. But when I launch my registered version of FCP7, it crashes before it can open. Any suggestions?

as much as I dislike xto7, I doubt it's the cause of the problem.
First thing to try is resetting your fcp preferences

Hey, guys - thanks for your help. As it turned out, the problem was an outdated version of BCC Shader. I uninstalled the plug in and all is working now. Thanks.
Just out of curiousity, Michael, why do you dislike xto7?
I bought it when I got the 30 day free trial of fcpx. Spent a number of hours trying to get the simplest fcp7 projects to xfer without any luck. I cut my losses and gave up. Maybe I've been spoiled by automatic duck's products which if they find a problem give you a clear indication of what the problem is.
