Removing camera icon from lock screen

I am trying to remove the camera icon from my phone lock screen. I remember when I first set up my phone there was an option available to choose whether or not you wanted access to the camera while the phone is locked. However, it is no longer available. I am not sure if it was removed during one of the updates. My 2 year old is able to grab my phone and within a matter of seconds take 20-30 pictures of nothing. I delete at least 250 picture from my photo stream every 2-3 days. please help!

There currently is no way to remove the camera icon from the lock screen. The only possible way to handle it is to restrict the camera by enabling Restrictions. Go to Settings, General, Restrictions and turn on the camera restriction. The downside to this workaround is that you would have to turn off restrictions for you to use the camera.
