Q: what happens when turning group messaging off?

I can't find out what it means if MMS Messaging or Group Messaging is turned on or off. If I send to a group of people and they reply - it appears it goes to everyone. Makes me wonder if I am replying to someone, could it be going to a group depending on what their settings are. This is as regards iPhone 5. And trying to find out what the difference is if they have an iPhone or Android; and if iPhone 4 or 5. Where do I find this type of information?

MMS is picture messages. If you turn it off you won't be able to send or recieve picture messages.

Group Messaging works with all phones - it's like starting an email thread with multiple users and using a "reply ALL" sort of function. It's really irritating most of the time so I turn it off. (it being irritating is MY opinion)

Thanks for the input hero0912. I didn't realize MMS was picture messages. Even learning something like that and how the Group Messaging works seems like it shouldn't be so hard to find so I appreciate the info. If group messaging being used, one (and entire audience) must be really careful and note before sending.
