Outlook.com and private mode

Question

When composing an outlook.com email from the safari browser running in "private" mode on a mac ... 2 functions don't work.

Insert Emoticons - the list of emoticons doesn't display.
Attachments - when you insert -> files as attachments you get the message "We're still getting set up. Please try again"

These 2 functions work when not running Safari in "private" mode

(Safari 6.0.5 - OSX 10.8.4)

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion

Not all Safari features may be availble using a third party email client.

Just to clarify ... Composing an outlook.com email works fine in Safari's normal non-private mode.

Safari has problems with the 2 issues mentioned in the opening post when Safari is in private mode.

FYI there is no problem composing an email with IE10's equivalent "InPrivate" mode or Chrome's "Incognito" mode.
