Trouble accessing wireless network

I am trying to access a wireless network via an Original Airport Card in a PPC G4Powerbook. I have selected the Networl name and inputted the password numerous times and selected other Network without success. I had accessed the network once before, but now my computer does not automatically log onto the network. Is there somewhere whre I can go in my computer to zero out ALL NETWORKS I have accessed and start from scratch or any othersuggestions that might solve my dilemma?

What encrytion does network use?

Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712

10.5, 10.6, 10.7 & 10.8…

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

10.4 instructions...

Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations.

If using Wifi/Airport...

Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

208.67.222.222

208.67.220.220

(There may be better or faster DNS numbers in your area, but these should be a good test).

Click OK.

If that doesn't work try changing channels on your Router.

Also, turn off IPv6:

System Preferences » Network » AirPort » TCP/IP tab » Configure IPv6

Or whatever Interface you use.

B,

My problem is acessing the wireless nework with my wife's G4 PowerBook. I'm sorry.this has taken me so long to respond to your question. If you need to look at the case number, it is located at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5283589

I found a discrepancy. My MacBook read the encryption code as WPA2- Personal, but the G4 PoweBook read it as WPA before I deleted it. The password had worked before earlier this year, but all of a sudden during the last several visits stopped recognizing the network automatically. When I went to select the network name under the Airport icon, it asked for the password and when my wife put it in the password failed. She got so frustrated she gave up and brought the PowrBook back home saying there was something wrong with the PowerBook.Darrell
