AirPlay QuickTime movies from OS X to iOS

I was watching a movie on OS X Lion using QuickTime and thought it would be great to just stream it to my iPad on my bed, but there was no Share option to do this. I did a little research and it seems primarily aimed at Apple TV users?

Can I just stream the video over WiFi to my iPad or not?
