Storage issues

I am trying to download application updates and I am getting a message that says that I don't have enough storage, even though I upgraded to the largest iCloud storage plan. I have already reset the IPad and see no change. Help!

One space hog is the camera roll. If you have lots of photos and videos they are probably taking up lots of space. Decide which ones you really want/need on your device, then import the rest to your computer and delete them from your iPad by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

Another area is large media files like movies, and a large music library. Decide if you really need all of them on your iPad, then sync the ones you can live without using iTunes. If you have a large music library and really want to be able to access all your music, you could also consider subscribing to iTunes Match (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/).

You can also go through your iTunes sync settings and see if there are other things you have synced to your iPad that you may not need to access all the time.

Also, if you purchased a large iCloud storage upgrade in the last 15 days thinking it would free up space on your iPad, you can contact the Apple online store and request a refund (1-800-MY-APPLE if you're in the U.S.).
