My Macbook Pro 13" 2012 doesn't turn on anymore

I was a happy user from Macbook Pro until yesterday. I used my mac until 1AM and turn off like usual. When I woke up and tried to turn it on again, it just didn't! I connected to the power and no lights showed up, nothing happened. It's like it is dead: no lights, no sound. I tried to connect to power with other battery charger from a friend of mine whi has a mac pro too and nothing happens either. I looked for assistance, but there is no Apple Care in my city anymore, the closest center is in 300kms away. I don't know what to do anymore, I know that I have to travel to a Center, but that costs money and I would like to know what can be happening, so I can at least imagine how much it will costs. I bought it in early 2012, so it is not in warrancy anymore.

To give you an impresion I attach an address and you can see a DC-IN. I had the same problem and our Apple store said that most probably the board is damaged and it will be a costly repair. I happened to have a functional DC-IN that I tried and it worked. On connecting the power adaptor prior to repair the led on the end of the cabel where the connection is did not lighten up. After repair it did right away. http://http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywo rds=dc%20in%20for%20apple#/ref=sr_pg_2?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Adc+in+for+apple+macbook+ pro&page=2&keywords=dc+in+for+apple+macbook+pro&ie=UTF8&qid=1378413913

Actually, it was a cleaning and oxidation problem. I live near to the beach (not so close, about 20 kms away) and somehow it got damaged inside. So, a non official techinical opened it up and cleaned. It worked! But and I got home 4 hours later it wasn't working anymore just like before the cleaning. I'm worried about the board, because it costs almost the whole macbook price :(((

Today I went again to the non official assistance and it just worked when the man charged it with his power adapter. I brought my mac home with the 30% battery and then I am charging like usual at home! Actually, I'm writting this reply from my Macbook right now, yeay!

However, just one "sequel" was left: my mac doesn't sleep anymore when I close it, it doesn't sleep automatically anymore. Well, if this is the wrost the happened I am pretty happy! hahaha

Conclusion: My macbook had some few areas with oxidation (corrosion) inside and it was hurting something there that made it not work anymore. Thank God, someone had opened, cleaned and now it is working completely fine - until now.

Thank you very much for all the help, guys!

I have just had a similar problem with a 2012 13" Macbook Pro with Mavericks installed. The MacBook was dead. An SMC reset did not work. I tried three different power adapters. The solution was take it to a service agent. They removed the back and disconnected the battery. After that the Macbook recovered from its hung sleep state. The battery is now charging normally. No parts needed to be replaced. I guess the lesson is to be careful about letting the battery go complertely flat while the Macbook is in sleep state.

I took my Macbook to a near city that has an Apple Care and they said that I have to change display screen and it qas goi g to cost me 500 dollars. I'm goi g to Florida in december, so I decided that I will male an appointment on Apple Care from Orlando and try to solve the problem there, because even that this is really the problem, it will be cheaper than try to solve it here in Brazil.

Thank you for the help, I hope this is my problem too!
