Why isn't my iMessage working?

It was working earlier today but it stopped working this afternoon. I tried turning my iMessage on and off again but that didn't change anything. Then I turned my phone on and off, still nothing changed. Am I the only one having this problem??? Is there someone who has experinced the same problem before? What did you do? Thanks in advance for the help 🙂 !
