Q: Phone running out of storage space, bought 15GB of iCloud storage...still not working

My phone was running out of storage space so my friend suggested I backup my files to iCloud. After doing this and paying for 15GB, I still am unable to take any new photos. This did not open up new space for me and it says there is still 7.7GB available. HELP. My friend who told me to do this said it worked for her and she has 25GB. My phone allowed me to take screenshots before and now I can't save anything. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help here?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.4, iCloud

This more than likely means you are running out of Space LOCALLY on your Device and you need to Delete Data OFF your Device...

If this is the case... Getting Additional iCloud Storage will not fix your issue.

    Hi saribrooke,

If you are running out of storage space on your phone, then additional iCloud storage won't help you. You need to go to Settings>Usage and see what is taking up storage on your phone. You may have to delete some apps, or if you have not backed up your photos on your Camera Roll, you may need to do that and then delete the Camera Roll photos.

If you have videos, those take up a lot of room, so back those up to iPhoto or to your Photos folder on your computer and then delete them.

    Cheers,
