I am using 4S and i dont get any message and they used iphone5 with ios 6.1.4 and they said they get this pop up message. Can anyone help me if this is correct and they can get this mes that somone tried to locate their location and if yes how to close this option. This is not good if this new thing is coming now using find my iph, it will help to buggers and u cant use it confidentiatlly.

"With iCloud and iOS 5 or later you can locate, play a sound on, display a message on and remotely lock, or erase your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. If these features do not work as expected, use the troubleshooting steps below. "
Translation: if you didn't mess up by clicking "play sound" or "display message", then your kids just got you. They already disabled location services I bet.
Another translation if first was too subtle, there is no message if you just locating.

My question is that if i tried to locate them if pop up mesage goes to their phone that someone has tried to locate their location. They said that they got pop up mess or some sign that their location was searched. How this is posdible
