iPhone problems

Who is your email provider? Did you get all of the settings from the provider to enter into the phone? Is the error only for receiving mail, or for sending as well? Recheck the settings, more than likely you have missed entering something for the username and password. There are a couple of places in the setup that are marked optional, but most email providers require them.

What kind of email account are we working with here?

Additionally, may try checking/sending mail on cell network instead of wifi.

What did Comcast say when you contacted them about your issue?

Well it's their server that's having the issue.. You'll need to get with them to resolve the issue. Good luck.

Just a minute and I can post screenshots of all of the Comcast settings. That is what I use.

Off topic I have AT&T but what is M-Cell?

Microcell. I have had issues with coverage at my house due to the fact there are high intensity power lines running within about 40 feet of my house that interferes with the signal. I've had the Microcell for some time and get great coverage at home now.

That's your problem. you entered your email address in the server name field, it is not the URL of the server. The server should be mail.comcast.net.

Now you should also delete your email address from this thread, as it will be seen by millions of people, not all of them honest.
