How do I delete an album and the photos from iphoto on macbook pro

Deleting Photos from an iPhoto Library

1 - from an Event or the Photos mode: select the photo(s) and use the Delete key to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the iPhoto Trash bin as follows:

2 - from an album, smart album, book, slideshow, card, etc.: select the photo(s) and use the key combination of Command+Option+Delete to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the trash bin as above.

NOTE: deleting a photo from an album, slideshow, book, etc., with only the Delete key only deletes that photo from that item. Deleting a photo from an Event deletes ALL occurences of that photo in the library.

Either select the photos in the underlying event and press delete

OR select the photos in the album and depress the Option and commnad keys and press delete

then empty the iPhoto trash (do not load large numbers of photos in the iPhoto trash - empty it every 100 or so deletes) and empty the system trash

Select the album in the sidebar and tap delete and confirm. That removes the Album

In the Library, Photos view, select the photos and tap delete. Then empty the iPhoto trash and the system rash.

pressing Delete does NOT delete my album.

Well posting into a two year old thread does NOT help. Are you sure it's even the SAME version of iPhoto? Make a thread of your own and add full details of your issue. Random BLOCK capitals are fun.
