How to set up air print on my ipad.
iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular (MM), iOS 6
My Epson WF-2540 is compatible and use to work from my Iphone and Ipad until I downloaded Windows 10. I have tried using the CD but it doesn't work above Windows 7. How can I get this to work again?
Thanks
The iPad and iPhone do not require any software at all. They are also unrelated to whatever is running on your desktop computer, whether its Windows 7 or 10, it does not matter. Running Windows 10 on a your computer would not affect the iPad or iPhone in any way. Software from Epson would only be relevant for the windows computer, and nothing else.
As long as the Printer is connected to the same network as the iPad and iPhone, they should be able to detect it.
If the printer is correctly connected to the network but cannot be detected from the iPad and iPhone, try restarting the router, and see if that helps. Also make sure the Bonjour service on the router is not turned off for any reason.
First, do you have an Airprint compatible printer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
No setup is required.
You just need an Airprint capable Printer on the same Wireless network as your iPad. The iPad should automatically detect it, and display it on the Print dialog of several Apps including the Mail app.

Yes I have a compatible printer but think i need to run the cd and choose "set up network printing" or something like that according to other apple stuff I've read I sure appreciate the replies. Thanks so much.
Running the CD and setting it up as a network printer should be in your quickstart guide that came with the printer.
Set it up and when you are done check for any firmware updates that may be available for your printer and router and install them if they are.
With a supported printer, you poweron the printer, poweron the ipad, then print.

The CD setup will only run on a computer not an iPad.
There should be a manual setup through the Printers front panel to get it to connect to the Wifi network without a computer. This should be detailed in the Printers manual.
From the iPad side there's really no configuration that can nor needs to be done.
Setup a typical HP AirPrint Printer
1. Insert the CD into the CD drive of the computer, and then wait a few seconds for the software installer to start.
2. Accept the installation agreements, and then click Next . It might take several minutes for your computer to install the printer software.
3. You will be asked to connect printer to computer with USB cable
4. You will be ask how you want to connect to printer, select Network (Ethernet/Wireless) and then click Next.
5. Setup will access computer and router for wireless settings.
6. Setup will ask if you want to use wireless settings (SSID and Password) to setup printer. Select Yes and press Next.
7. Setup will then send wireless settings to printer.
8. Once printer is setup, you will be ask to remove USB cable.
9. The printer is now ready for AirPrint.
9. no, my iphone can't detected it.
But my mac pro, can, the proof, i can print without any cable USB.
So wth ?
I Have an Hp D110a. It worked fine until,IOS 8. Now hpeprint says it can't find the printer. mail says no AirPrint printers. I could do a calprint by entering the printer IP address. Amd the wireless network test from the printer shows no problems with all tests from the printer. I have restarted the router, but do not know what to try next.
You may need to go to the Epson website to get the updated software.
