Q: Aperture / Fujifilm Camera Compatibility

I have a Fujifilm EXR camera. It has been recommended that i get Aperture, but i do not see my camera listed on the list of compatible cameras. Am I blind, or is Aperture not for me and my camera?  Jeeko

Are you asking about this list:  Apple - Aperture - Technical Specifications - RAW Support

No, Aperture does not support the raw format, if your camera is not on the list, sorry. (which is the full name of the camera? There are quite a few Fuji cameras with EXR in its name?)

You can use Aperture, if you shoot jpeg, or if you convert your images to dng format.

Thanks. I am pretty sure i shoot my pix in JPEG format, so it shouldn't be a problem. I am not up on all this techno terminology, but I think I understand.  Thanks again.  Edjan

Edjan, that should be a setting in your camera - some image quality option. But simply try to import the photos from your camera by inserting the card into a card reader or by connecting the camera directly to your Mac using a USB cable.

Then launch Aperture and select the menu item "File > Import". The panel should show you your camera in the devices section in the upper left corner. Select it and you should see the  image files from the card. The right column will list options for the import. If you do not see any images, check the options, if any of the settings is filtering the import, excluding certain file types.
