Q: voiceover kit wont install completely

I just finished syncing my iPod Shuffle (4th Gen) and the voiceover feature isnt working. I tried to apply the voiceover and downloaded the kit however once installing the kit the progress bar filled about half way and then just disappeared and the voiceover box was unchecked again. Ive made sure to download any updates and it still wont work. Do any of you know if the voiceover kit will work with Windows 8? Does that even matter? PLEASE HELP!!!

Ok, I was able to fix this. The solution in a nutshell is to have iPodVoiceOver.dll installed in the (whatever drive letter):\program files\itunes directory. Where all the other dll's are.

For example, I use windows 7 64 bit and have itunes installed on the c drive but my library is located on an external drive (f:)

Itunes was able to download the voiceover kit but it copied it to my c: root directory. I moved it over to c:\program files\itunes and voila it worked. I connected the shuffle and started itunes and it installed the kit to the shuffle. I'm now able to check and uncheck the voiceover feature and it works perfectly fine
