For a month or so now, my safari freaks out when I have multiple tabs open. I'm not talking like ten of them, im talking about two. If I'm watching something on hulu in one tab and am on another website in the second tab, both will run extremely slow. I've never had this probelm before. Any ideas as to what could help fix this ?
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
Emptied the Safari cache lately?
Press Command + Option + E on your keyboard then quit and relaunch Safari to test.
Checked the startup disk lately ?
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If the disk needs repairing, follow the instructions here > Mac OS X - Using Disk Utility to Repair a Disk

I empty my cache regularly & checked the disk, it's fine. Sites that play videos are the most affected, even if it's the only tab open. While on hulu & netflix, the image will lag behind the sound.
Check Safari > Preferences > Extensions. If thare are any installed, turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If it's not an extensions issue, might be an incompatible Safari plugin. Troubleshooting help here.
The DivX player can cause problems with the sties you have mentioned.
