Setting up a EB800 MS on a Mountain Lion Mac

I'm setting up a Mac Pro with a new Proavio EB800 MS storage system with a areca raid controller. This system will be used for capturing & editing HD video, I'm looking for any advice on setting up the raid from anyone who's gone through this with a EB800 MS or similar system.
