I just tried synching my iPod with my Mac, three short (10-12 min each) movies in *.mov format. iPod says it won't synch them because it can't play them. Doesn't tell me what it can play though.
Don't you hate it when a program goes all coy on you?

You may have to use a third-party program like the free HandBrake program. That program has presets for format that will sync to an iPod/iPhone

Oops, not so fast.
HandBrake did change formats, but when I try to load them onto my iPod, I get the same error message: [paraphrase] will not load because the format is one this iPod cannot play.
So I guess my question stands.
If there are presets for formats for iPod . . . I failed to see and/or take advantage of them, I fear. Will take another look, of course.
IS IT POSSIBLE that my iPod Touch will not show me the "Movies" logged in my iTunes?
iTunes shows three short films; I cannot find them, even searching, in my iPod Touch.
Try AVS Media Player – it is free, great app, plays great range of formats and has been updated for iPod's resolution
