The Apple TV is connected. It showed the Apple logo and then no further memo display came up. What do I do now?

I have plugged in and connected Apple TV. Initially it displays the Apple logo and then the screen went blank. The Apple TV box light is on but the set up menu is not showing. How do I proceed?
