Q: Playing sound but no video on Apple TV 2

Hi all

Ever since I updated the latest software on my Apple TV I am having issues "air playing" any movies or TV series from my iphone or ipad onto my apple TV. the sound plays through the TV but not the picture - any advice?

All the old movies or TV series I downloaded prior to downloading the apple TV update play perfectly using airplay between my iPad/iPhone and the TV but anything downloaded subsequently (after I updated the Apple TV software) only plays sound on my Apple TV and not the video

mine is doing the same thing. did you figure it out yet?

and why can't you stream live shows on iOS safari devices?

Not all apps are enabled for airplay, this is up to the developer to do.
