Q: I don't know how to scan and then email it in yahoo please give me the steps. I am in the old days of faxing.

Hi I am in the dark ages of faxing. But the new business people are into scanning. I don't know how to scan and then post it on yahoo and email it. My mac does not take disk to install the scanner in the printer.

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

    Read the user manual that came w/the scanner and/or contact the scanner tech support or visit their website.

    What is the make and model of the scanner you are trying to use?

    Is the printer portion functioning correctly?

    In the Finder, go to the menu Go > Applications.

    When the Applications window opens, look for an application called Image Capture.app:

    Launch Image Capture, does the device show up in the left hand column? If it does and you click on it to select it, will the scanning options appear (this may take a moment or two)?
