Spilled look on my screen after spilling coke

What to do? Or how much would it cost to repair it? Is it damage? Or can i repair it my own? Help!

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

No, he meant the equivilent of $229 in your country, if you are not in the US. iPhones and liquid do not work together well. Sticky soft drinks are even worse. There is no way to dry that out in the device. Apple does not repair devices, they replace them. The decision to have it replaced by Apple and have a short warranty versus you trying to repair it yourself is your decision to make.

By equivalent he is referring to the fact that people all over the world use this site and you didn't specify where you are located. It is $229 USD to do an out-of-warranty replacement of an iPhone 5. There are also internal moisture sensors but since the damage can be clearly seen on the screen they will be able to tell it is moisture damage. If you had the foresight to buy AppleCare + it will be $49.
