how can I find my ipod if it is offline???

Unfortunately, you can't, other than by physically looking for it. It has to be online to be located with Find My iPod.

If it still appears on the Find My iPhone device list you can put in Lost Mode. If it every goes back online you will get a confirmation email that it was placed in lost mode and locked.

than honestly.. whats the point? if we did everything right, & it was stolen from a child.. is find my iphone only for when ive lost in in my own house? can Apple somehow be paid a fee to give a signal boost or something? they have to be smarter than this... theyre geniuses!!!
