I can talk to my HP printer via wifi, but it only gives me a printer error when I go to print. Nothing even gets into the print queue. And this is the same for Word, Preview and text edit.

I can talk to my HP all-in-one printer via wifi. I can use the print utility to print test pages. But when I try to print from Word, or preview, or textedit I immediately get a "printer error" even before anything gets placed in the print queue. I uninstalled the printer drivers and then installed the latest one again. Even through out some preferences. But to no avail. Also will not work in safe boot. I even fixed permissions.And did a software update.The printer works just fine from a macsbook.

It was all working swimmingly until a month ago...

Could it be the operating system is slightly corrupted and needs to be reinstalled.
