i recently purchased a ipod shuffle which i connected and added playlists to.I then purchased a new ipod which I connected.Both have the same name therefore I can not do anything with my new shuffle.Any advice

I recently bought an ipod shuffle.This was installed and I added playlists from itunes.I then purchased a new ipod .This was registered with same name .I can not use shuffle now & music has dissapeared.How can i reinstall.
