installed my nano and now my cd/dvd drive stopped working. message says I have a driver issue. any solutions?

after installing my Nano my cd/dvd drive stopped working. message says there is a driver issue. used the troubleshotter and that message states the cd/dvd driver is ok. has anyone else experienced this problem?

iPod nano, Windows 7
