The article below confirms the correct way to edit video information.
If you have several files like this that were downloaded from the iTunes Store, I've included a link below to report the issue.
Each audio or video file in iTunes has several settings and tags that can be easily modified. These options can be accessed by selecting any file in the iTunes browser windows and selecting "Get Info" from the File menu
For videos, the Video tab allows you to specify if the video is a movie, TV show or music video. You can also set episode information for TV shows.

I think many of the movies are actually podcasts or were from a non-iTunes source...but this helps alot...I should be able to figure it out -- the issue tho is not so much the info in Get Info in each -- it is that movie A is in the TVShows area and not the Movie Playlist -- I have editted info before for items but the problem apepars to be the assignment of Movie category to things that are either podcasts or TVShows or vice versa
I did find where in Options one can reassign the type of item it is
