and i bought the new apple earpods with remote and mic
and is said it supports my 3rd generation ipod...
i can only hear music...but remote is not working

the 3rd gen shuffle is not listed under Compatibility. Others have stated here that the remote control buttons on the EarPods do not work with the 3rd gen shuffle.
If you want to use the EarPods, you can get an adapter that has the remote control buttons, for example
