I just logged on to iTunes on my computer and my entire library is missing. What do I do?

iPod

did this - it did not work. all songs are listed as being added on 4/19/2014.
I was hoping to get back my playlists and my date added data.
any other ideas? My ipod has not been synced since this happened - Is there a way to get the info FROM my ipod back to my itunes to correct the situation? thanks for your help.
