Q: help! canon 9000f scanner stopped working

- says error connecting the scanner. USB cable is connected and drivers reinstalled (twice) but same message. Interestingly it recognizes the scanner hardware but when i press the scan button it gives error 2.155.33

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), scanner 9000f
