I'll contradict that - BlueTooth uses no power at all unless there is a device connected, and then it only uses 3 MW. So turning off BT will not make any noticeable difference in battery life.


The advice on apps is good.


Also keep in mind that signal strength can make a huge difference in battery life. A weak signal can require 10 times as much power as a strong signal, so if you are frequently in marginal signal areas your battery life will be greatly reduced, even if you don't use the phone much.

No, it is impossible to overcharge the battery. The battery charger circuit is actually in the phone, not in the so-called "charger" which is actually just a power source. The charger circuit stops charging once the battery reaches 100%, so you could leave the power source connected for a year and it would not overcharge the battery.


The battery life will decrease over time, according to Apple, reaching about 50% of its original capacity after about 400 full charge cycles (a full charge cycle is 0-100%; so if you charge it twice from 50% to 100% that counts as 1 charge cycle).
