Two Copies of iMovie?

I want to run two versions of iMovie.

I created a partition (separate drive) with some private files. I would like to have a separate copy of iMove, so that only the movies I edit on that drive can be seen when I open up that copy of iMove.

Currently, when I open iMovie, it shows all projects, even though I might not want those to pop up when I open the software.

Is it possible to have two copies of iMove that hold different projects?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Hi

May be I'll miss Your Q: - but as I see it

• Create an User Account for You - and -

• One for the second person

Will keep Your Movies and Event's for You only - as long all is stored on Main Start-Up Hard disk.

If an external hard disk is used - I guess that this might run into a problem

Have to test that situation.

(alternative method is

- using an external hard disk for Your Project's and Event's

- then disconnect this and keep it safe when not working with it

- I use this method)

Works to a bit - Using two User Accounts

But some material will be shared as

• movies in iPhoto Movie Library = iPhoto-videor

User uploaded file

most probably same goes for

• iTune - and -

• GarageBand

(still need to be tested)

I prefer the moving external hard disk storage - as it keeps privacy a bit at least.

THIS external HD MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted - Nothing else will do for Video.
