Sep 8, 2013 4:05 AM in response to skolokouriby Roger Wilmut1,I quote:
How do I downgrade my current plan?
- Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then click the iCloud icon.
- Click the Manage button.
- Click Change Storage Plan.
- Click Downgrade Options.
- Enter your Apple ID password, then click Manage.
- Choose a different plan to use when your complimentary storage plan expires on September 30, 2013.
- Click Done.
In the example pictured, the check mark indicates the selected plan, which will be active when the complimentary storage plan expires on September 30, 2013. A yellow triangle means that the amount of storage currently in use exceeds the amount of storage available in the plan.

Sep 8, 2013 5:18 AM in response to skolokouriby Roger Wilmut1,You have selected the 10GB option, presumably. You will have to take that up with Support.
You may be able to do this using http://expresslane.apple.com - Click on 'More products and services', then 'iCloud', 'Account and setup' then 'This topic is not listed'. Explain the situation in the box provided and wait for a response - include a phone number. However you may find you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare.
In that event you will need to phone them directly, using the Apple Online Store number given at the bottom left of this page.

Sep 8, 2013 5:56 AM in response to Roger Wilmut1by skolokouri,I see, thanks a lot.
is this a telephone line service free?
I used expresslane before and it was a chat-support which worked fine. Is there any chatline now ? i could not find it...
-
Sep 8, 2013 8:13 AM in response to skolokouriby Roger Wilmut1,I have a feeling that the chat has been withdrawn - you could try. The Online Store telephone number is free in the USA and UK, I don't know about anywhere else.

Level 9 (78,283 points)
iTunes@peteryisthishappening: If you are an ex-MobileMe subscriber who wishes not to pay to continue the free extra storage but download to the free 5GB level you need to nothing: you will be automatically downgraded tomorrow. This is why you can't do anything - it's already done.
