My IPad mini screen goes out of control, things become super-magnified and I am unable to swipe to shrink he screen. To reboot is difficult because the slide button has taken itself outside the frame. Help please.

Double Tap the screen with 3 fingers to get out of Zoom Mode,
Then go to Settings->General->Accessibility->Zoom, and turn it off.
Hi again and thanks. It seems odd that turning off the zoom mode will still keep the zoom on zooming, but solves the zoom problem I was having! But hey, it worked. Thanks.
It Worked and thank u so much I had to double tap with 3 fingers...Hold them and slide down on screen to reduce magnification... Took several times to get it small enough to see whole lock screen Big relief ensued
