Do I still need the instrument files from Logic Pro 9 if i now have Logic pro X? How do I remove those files?

I also have the same question.
I recently downloaded the Logic X and its really confusing for me to locate the newly downloaded additional content on my hard-drive.
I would ideally like to delete all previous content from Logic 9 + Uninstall Logic 9 from the macbook pro.
The LP9 and LPX content is actually combined when you download the additional content in LPX..... during the additional content's install process.

AOS - thank you. i would not have expected this but it does seem "Apple smart". So that means they are all together and there is no duplication in audio loops, instruments, effects, etc? If so, the only space savings is getting rid of the LP9 execution programs itself.

However, I would retain the LP9 app as firstly it's fairly small so you don't save much space by deleting it...and secondly, you might need it to work on older or new projects that still use 32bit only plugins as they are no longer supported in Logic Pro X
