Q: unable to view attachments online using MacBook, but able to view them on iPod touch. Using OS 10.7.5 on MacBook. Can anybody explain this?

Unable to receive attachments (MacBook OS 10.7.5), but I do receive attachments on iPod touch (IOS 6.1.3).

Can anyone explain what is wrong on the MacBook?

On your Mac with Mail open, go to Mail > Preferences then select  the Viewing tab.

Select:  Display remote images in HTML messages

    Quit and relaunch Mail.

The option "Display remote images in HTML messages" was already turned on.

I still can't see a "paperclip" for an attachment either online or in Mail.

Not only that, Mail doesn't show that I received your reply from Apple Support Communities.

The unavailable attachment (in Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5) is from Gmail using either Safari or Firefox.
