sigh new macbook, new problems..

hey guys, this is the 2nd macbook ive gotten (first one had to be replaced b/c the super drive did not work at all), at first when i got it, everything seemed to be running fine, until i turned it off and examined the exterior. when i felt the bottom of the mb, i felt several dents. and after further examination, the cause of these dents were due to the screws being screwed on too tight. i thot that was all, until i looked at the mb once again and realized that when closed, one side of the screen casing is slanted, leaving a gap that is bigger on one side. So right now i have a dilema, the mb runs fine (cept for a few blue screen in windows), but its exterior has some serious issues. So my friends, the question is, to replace or not replace?

macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Without being able to see your machine it's impossible to know the extent of the warping. I would be more concerned about the internals. See if the l-bracket inside the battery bay is straight and can be removed easily (memory swapping). Also run the machine until the fan kicks up to full and feel around the case for leaks. If it's mechanically sound after checking then it's up to you regarding the cosmetic issues. You may get a machine that performs slower or has a dead pixel or something like that on your third swap.

I think the way the screen closes might bother me, but it would have to be a rather large gap.

If you can't live with it and it bothers you after a few days sleep then return it.

Good Luck
