drivers support for Dell U 2312HM using OsX 10.8.4

Hello, since my upgrade to mountaion lion, I have problems with my monitor. can only get a good picture at 1280x768 with 60 Hz, i thik this may be a drivers problem. The connection goes via VGA Adapter.

Had no problems when I was using snow leopard, DELL does not support MAC - so what can I do? the Display ist not sharp and its uncomfort to work with. but I like the 23´´ thanx for help

Should I maybe connect via HDMI, would this help?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), DELL external monitor

I don't see your screenshot. This is what I see:

- capture by using the key combination <command + option + 4>

- cursor will change to a crosshair, then click and hold the top left corner, drag to the bottom-right corner, then release

- in this forum click the camera button in the toolbar, then navigate to, and select, the screenshot file on your desktop with the date and time you took the screenshot

now it worked. I hope you can see the vertical white stripes an that the letters are not sharp. On the left and the right side there i a 1,5 cm area black too. If I am goin back to 1280 x768, it looks like this:

Leo,

screen shots will always look perfect as they are digital representations of the screen NOT what you as the user see. Can you select "Optimal für monitor"?

The display should look best at 1920 x 1080 which is the native resolution of the display.

Leo,

If the monitor is not clear at 1920 x 1080 then I am at a loss. Can you take a picture of the monitor using a camera? not the whole monitor just a portion. What is not clear at this resolution?

Sorry Wayne, with "optimal für den monitor" I get 800x600 60 HZ.... no way

OK. Can you make sure the monitor is well connected? Are the retention screws engaged? Can you tell me what is unacceptable about the picture? remember I cannot see what you see. The screenshot was so I can see the system prefs NOT the image on the screen.

ok I took my iphone, relevant are only the vertical stripes on the grey background of the ms word new document default setting. here you can see them very clear, and they are here all the time

But with the Iphone foto, you see them, right? Yes, all updates done, Funny thing ist, it startet with the upgrade to OS 10.8.4, the picture didn´t fit to the screen anymore, and the stripes showed up. Don`t have a 2nd Monitor, but I borrow one, or should I go and buy another VGA cable as next step, cheapest way I think, can use it for my beamer too. Thanx for your time and support. Greetings

unfortunately the moire pattern in the actual picture dominates so I cannot see the problem you are trying to show me.
