have a 3rd gen iPad.... got a blue screen while using it (on the top the pixels were flickering).
tried to restart the device... - Hard press of lock button and home screen - the ipad did switch off but didnt turn up back again!
curretnly its dead and does not turn up.....

Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
Already did that....the iPad isn't responding I.e the apple logo isn't coming on pressing the sleep/wake button and the home button
The iPad isn't turning on at all
Maybe the battery is flat. Charge it for a few hours.
Thanks Mate.....although there was significant battery life when the issue happened, but would anyways give it a shot
Tried charging it but still it's unresponsive ....not switching on...does it need a visit to the service center or is there anything else that I can try ?
Hello, I just got my iPad and had the same thing happen. Did you have any luck ? Or did you have to bring it in?
Took mine in to the apple store and they say they don't fix them. I can buy a new one. Well if that's the case I'll buy a Samsung tablet and guess what I did and it works perfect. Wife mother in law and my whole family has since dropped apple and now all own Samsung everything. If apple would fix thier devices for crap that's not our fault I'd love to have it fixed. But I will not buy another if they can't right thier wrongs.
