I updated to Mountain Lion and I am playing a lot of catch up w tweaking my system back to where I liked it. I have a gmail account that I open up through my Apple Mac mail. How do I add more columns to sort my mail by and change the viewing panel? Thanks

In Classic Layout, right-click on a column header and select the items you want displayed.
i must be thick and i am sorry but i double clicked and nothing happened. can you send me a screen shot of where i am suppose to double click? I get the menu but when i click on the menu to pick multiple columns, it adds what i clicked on and then disappears, preventing me to add multiple. thanks again for sticking w the question.
There is not double-click. It's a right-click. It sounds like you've found it. It goes away each time you make a selection.
