The instrument guide instructions are not working. Their instructions did not work for me, I tried storing in both the user defined and the factory supplied folders, and restarted my computer each time and even hit refresh library. I am testing dozens of sample folders so it can't be my samples since not a single one was recognized. If someone has actually done this in Logic Pro X (not 9) successfully, please do respond. Thanks!

To be visible in the EXS24 mkII Sampler Instruments pop-up menu, instruments must be stored in the Sampler Instruments subfolder of any of the following folders:

  • ~/Music/Audio Music Apps: User-defined or edited instruments are stored here.
  • /Library/Application Support/Logic: Factory-supplied sampler instruments are installed here.
  • …/ProjectName: Logic Pro X also searches for sampler instruments in the project folder.

In LPX 10.0.6 under Mavericks 10.9.2

Using the Save Instrument as... menu item in the option menu in EXS24 and saving to ~/Music/Audio Music Apps/Sampler Instruments as per the instructions... works fine here....

I created an instrument in EXS24...named it Test Example and saved it and it appears in the drop down menu as shown in the screenshot below... I can then load it and it works as described and expected.
